Health authorities have confirmed that 109 people in Malta have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 2,561 swab tests were carried out.
There were also 6 further recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries since the start of the pandemic to 3,242 people.
Since March, a total of 4,737 have tested positive for the virus in Malta and Gozo, of which 1,450 are active.
Health authorities said the new cases are still being investigated.
Of the cases found yesterday, 40 were family members related to someone who had teted positive for the virus, 17 were colleagues of people who had tested positive, 7 were in direct contact with positive patients, 6 came from social activities and two were imported.
