11 presidential guards reported killed in Tunis bus explosion

In Tunis, 11 people were today reported killed during an explosion on a bus carrying Tunisian security guards.

The blast occurred during heavy traffic in a central area of the capital – the Mohammed V Avenue, a major road in Tunis.

This is not the first attack in Tunisia, believed to be the work of ISIS with the latest terrorist attack carried out last June in Sousse resort beach that left 39 people dead.

The explosion occurred near the former general headquarters of the party of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who was removed from power during the 2011 revolution.
