The health authorities have announced that another 111 persons have tested positive for covid-19 over the past 24 hours after 2,761 swab tests were carried out.
The authorities also announced another 52 recoveries from the virus, pushing up to 3,064 the number of recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
4,048 persons have tested positive for Covid-19 in Malta since March, of whom 940 are still active.
The health authorities stated that the new cases are still being investigated.
In reference to yesterday’s cases, 30 cases were family members of previously known cases, six cases were contacts of positive work colleagues, and one case was from the Paceville cluster.
