13 Jihadists in Europe recruit foreign fighters for Iraq and Syria

Thirteen suspected members from a Jihadist group have been arrested in raids around Europe for allegedly recruiting foreign fighters to be sent to Iraq and Syria.

The target of the raids carried out in Finland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Switzerland and the UK was Rawti Shax, a group which wants to set up a caliphate in Iraq’s Kurdistan region.

Among those arrested was Mullah Krekar (photo above) who is serving an 18 month sentence in a Norwegian jail after he was found guilty of threats and of encouraging others to commit criminal acts.

The Italian police said that the group was planning attacks in order to free Mullah Krekar from jail.
