The Planning Authority has approved a project in the upper part of Tigne, which consists of a 16-storey residential tower. The project will be built next to the Tigne tunnel that connects Qui-Si-Sana with the Ferries.
In a statement the PA said the building will be joined to the open space where the 1894 Battery was restored, and will be built on a site that has already been excavated.
The tower will be divided into 4 underground floors and includes 81 parking spaces and 17 floors of which 7 are retracted and include a roof. In total the tower will contain 63 apartments.
The developer has to pay over € 220,000 in planning gain to be used for landscaping projects in the local urban environment.
