2 police officers wounded after protestors shoot at them during Louisville riots

Two police officers are suffering from grievous injuries caused by gunshots as thousands of people took to the streets in Louisville, Kentucky, and opened fire on them. The protests took place as a jury decided that no one would be charged with the murder of Breonna Taylor. Taylor, 26, who worked at a hospital, was shot several times when police officers entered her home last March.

Police Officer Brett Hankison was accused not only of killing Taylor but of causing danger when he opened fire in her apartment in Louisville. The two other officers were not charged. A state of of emergency was called in Louisville and the National Guard had to be brought in.
