21 fireworks factories given financial backing for their participation in the 5th edition of ‘Festa Nar’

The Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government, Owen Bonnici presented 21 fireworks factories with €1,200 each for their participation in the fifth edition of ‘Festa Nar’ – a festival of fireworks displays organised by the Southern Region in Birżebbuġa and Mqabba.

During the presentation Minister Bonnici thanked the participants and said the Government is committed to continue strengthening such initiatives.

The Southern Region has been organising this spectacle for the last five years and always assures it is prepared to help locally organised cultural activities within its region by paying for a substantial part of the expenses, including the celebration of local feasts.

Minister closed his address by thanking all those present for their hard work, while urging them to work together to continue strengthening the cultural framework and traditions so as to safeguard these for future generations.
