21 year old admits to wielding knife and injuring his father

A 21 year old has admitted to slightly injuring his father with a knife in a heated argument that occurred yesterday at his father’s home in Marsa.

The court presided by Magistrate Charmaine Galea ordered that a pre-sentencing report be drawn up before proceeding with judgment. In court, Inspector Robert Vella said that up until ten days before the incident, the accused was being monitored by a probation officer, but the situation with his relatives, especially with his father had escalated to the point where it had led to an argument between them.

The young man was given bail against a personal guarantee of two thousand euro and with strict orders and conditions not to approach his father’s house or to make contact with him.
