The Health Ministry has announced that 233 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified in Malta after 3,654 swab tests were carried out during the past 24 hours.
Another 162 recoveries were also announced, which brings up to 19,905 the total number of persons who have recovered from the virus since the start of the pandemic.
23,226 persons have tested positive with Covid-19 in Malta since March, of whom 3,000 are active cases.
Meanwhile, 84,129 vaccinations had been administered up to yesterday, of which 29,748 constituted second doses.
It was also announced that two persons who were positive with Covid-19 have died during the past 24 hours.
