29 new COVID-19 cases in Malta, 4 persons recovered

29 new Covid-19 cases emerged in Malta during the past 24 hours, while four persons have recovered from the virus. This means that there are currently 440 active cases.

In the latest medical update, the Health Ministry said that three of today’s cases were in Mount Carmel, two others in connection with Paceville cases, five cases in a family, another case in connection with a positive case at a place of work, the rest are sporadic cases.

The positive cases emerged after 1,8882 swab tests.

Figures in connection with Covid-19 in Malta show that 1,141 cases were registered during the pandemic. 692 persons have recovered.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the current Covid-19 situation, this year’s edition of the Malta International Airshow has been cancelled. The Airshow organisers said that the decision was taken after the government’s decision to cancel mass events. The Malta Aviation Society, which organises this event, stated that it is waiting for a reply by the Malta Tourism Authority for the renewal of this year’s airshow agreement for next year.
