Three Somali men were arrested in connection with mugging case in St Julian’s on the 21st October.
The case was reported by the victim, a 27-year old Hungarian, who reported at the St Julian’s police station that he was assaulted and robbed by some persons in Triq San Ġorġ.
Initial investigations showed that one of the aggressors grabbed the victim by the neck and pushed him to the ground, while the others robbed him of a watch and objects he had in his pocket. The men ran away from site.
Further investigation led to the identification and arrest of the men by Major Crimes Squad officers.
The three Somalis, two aged 24 and the other 26, are expected to be arraigned in Court tomorrow, while investigations are ongoing.
