33 Covid-19 patients hospitalised, four in ITU

The health authorities have announced that 50 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified over the past 24 hours and there have been another 40 recoveries, with the number of active cases now 731.

33 persons are presently being treated at Mater Dei because of the virus, four of whom are in the Intensive Treatment Unit.
The number of victims has gone up to 449 after an 83-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman died of the virus.

The situation update also shows that 805,439 doses of the vaccine had been administered up to yesterday, of which 2,240 constituted booster doses.
