39 patients with Covid-19 are recovering in hospitals – 2 are in ITU

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health has told tvm.com.mt that right now there are 39 people who have tested positive for  Covid-19, who are currently being treated at various hospitals.

11 patients are recovering at Mater Dei, two of whom have been admitted to the Intensive Therapy Unit, one was admitted yesterday afternoon and the other patient last night.

12 other patients are recovering at St Thomas and another 16 patients are at Boffa, some of whom are being held at the hospital to ensure adequate quarantine.

Apart from these 39 patients, there are also 8 patients at Mt Carmel hospital who tested positive for Covid-19 and who are being kept in isolation at the same hospital.
