Australian Police have arrested 44 men around the country, suspected of being involved in a pedophile ring. This has led to 16 children being saved from abuse.
The arrests were carried our after a year long investigation, during which the Police analysed videos and photos which were shared on the Internet through the cloud storage platform.
Commissioner Reece Kershaw said that in cases such as this, they have to work in a race against time to save the children, where they analyse the material pixel by pixel in order to find clues about who the suspects are.
In all, they confronted around 350 men aged between 19 -57. It was stated that they work in the sectors of construction, transport, law enforcement and hospitality.
