The Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society has launched an online platform where children can share their thoughts and practical things they face every day because of the pandemic and how they are managing to overcome these challenges.
With schools closed and forced to stay home, children have increased their online presence. The coordinator of the section focusing on children within the Foundation, Angela Caruana, said that children were going into various sites that offered no protection.
She said that for this purpose, a Facebook page called here4u.mt has been launched, through which the foundation wants to spread its services beyond the 80 members it works with every day. She added that the first two activities will address creativity among children while keeping them in a safe environment.
“50 words are being giving to children who want to write a story. The only condition is that they can only use up to 50 words. We are giving children a chance to share work with all creative ideas. After these 15 days every piece of work will go up in an online exhibition on facebook that we are launching today, “said the coordinator of the children’s hub, Angela Caruana.
The President Emeritus and Chairperson of the foundation, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca said that the page will serve for children to discuss and talk about dreams, aspirations, recommendations on things that affect them or those around them.
