Six persons arraigned after fight between two families

A fight between two families in Cospicua last Wednesday led to six persons being arraigned in Court, including a 15-year-old student.

Kurt David Azzopardi, Nazzareno Dalli, Redeemer Abdilla, Redent Cassar, Tristan Cassar, and a 15-year-old boy all entered a plea of not guilty. They are facing charges of insulting and threatening and of causing light injuries and damages to property.

With the exception of the boy, the five others arraigned also face accusations of having breached conditional freedom from arrest from previous accusations. Magistrate Doreen Clarke ordered the five to be detained under arrest while granting provisional liberty to the boy under various conditions including a personal guarantee of €2,000 and a prohibition of communicating with the other party or with witnesses.
