7 die in helicopter crash in New Zealand

Four British tourists and two Australians are believed to have been killed when a helicopter they were on crashed in New Zealand. The pilot of the helicopter was also killed.

New Zealand’s rescue coordination center said that rescue teams arrived at a mountain site with helicopters where the tragedy took place. They found no survivors.

The helicopter, a Eurocopter “Squirrel” type operated by Alpine Adventures firm, crashed near a site in the west of the country which is popular with tourists.

New Zealand authorities are conducting an investigation to establish the cause of the crash.
