In France, a proposal has been put forward for a new design to the Notre Dame Cathedral which includes a glass futuristic design, together with an urban farm with crops and fruit for the Paris poor people and a solar energy source.
The design was proposed by a Paris architects firm after Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced an international competition for architects to redesign the spire which was destroyed by fire.
The glass structure under the spire is intended to provide natural light on the cathedral choir section, while the rescued cock will again find its place on the glass. The urban fields are intended to be used by charitable and volunteer organisations to grow crops and fruit to feed poor and homeless persons.
The spire and the roof will also serve as a source for the production of solar energy, while this particular design will also offer natural ventilation and a heating source for winter months.
