A prominent activist who is pro Hong Kong democracy, Joshua Wong, has been arrested.
The party which he set up with others, called Domosisto, said that Wong was grabbed and forcefully pushed inside a van while he was walking on the street.
The 23-year-old was walking to the train station at around 7.30am when he was taken to the police headquarters.
It has been reported that another prominent activist, Agnes Chow, was also arrested. The two activists are being held on suspicion of inciting other people to take part in a non-authorised protest.
Wong is also facing charges of organising a non-authorised protest. The activists were arrested on the eve of the demonstration which has been planned for this weekend.
