UPDATED: Adrian Delia asks whether Government will be explaining Vitals Contract

In a reaction in Parliament, Opposition Leader Adrian Delia asked whether the Government is to provide an explanation regarding the condemnation published in theAuditor General’s report regarding the Vitals Contract.

Dr Delia said the report certifies that millions of euro are being stolen from the public every day.

Government Whip Glen Bedingfield said the Auditor’s Report is being studied by the Government.

In a later statement the Government said the Auditor General’s Report has been noted and the political responsibility related to the concessions has already been carried with the resignation and eventual dismissal of the Minister who was responsible for this project.

The Government said it is to assure the competitivity process in the future as well as remove the shortcomings revealed by the Report to ensure no repetition.
