AFM boat sent to bring over 36 migrants rescued in Maltese waters

The Ocean Viking vessel, which is operated by non-government organisations SOS Medieranee u Medecins Sans Frontieres, rescued another 36 migrants from a wooden boat which was in difficulty in Maltese waters.

A spokeswoman for the Armed Forces said that a patrol boat was sent to bring over the rescued migrants in Malta’s search and rescue area. It is not yet known what will happen to the 182 immigrants which were rescued by the Ocean King in other recent operations.
