Air Malta aircraft hit by bird strike

An Air Malta aircraft was hit by a bird strike on approaching Lyon’s airport this afternoon. Flight KM454 from Malta to Lyon landed safely. The aircraft is currently being serviced by technical personnel in Lyon in liaison with Air Malta’s engineers.
As a consequence of the incident flight KM455 Lyon – Malta will be delayed. Other Air Malta flights may also be impacted. The airline is working hard to minimise any delays as far as possible.
