Air Malta voted as the sixth best regional airline in Europe

National Airline Air Malta has achieved the sixth place in the category of ‘The Best Regional Airline in Europe’ during the Skytrax World Airline Awards of 2015.  The Maltese airline said that for the fifth consecutive year, Air Malta was classified as one of the best airlines in the regional airlines category that operate mainly regional international flights or with short distances.

Air Malta said in a statement that these awards are a point of global reference of excellence to the airline and a primary tool for comparative valuation of satisfying passengers levels by airlines around the world.

The airline said the  survey was carried out between September 2014 and May 2015 with 18.9 million clients responding to a number of subjects.  The survey included full service and low-cost services by airlines and measured the standards of 41 main indicators of product and principal services given by airlines.  More than 105 different nationalities took part in the survey on more than 245 airlines varying from international transportation to small domestic traffic.

Clients were asked on their satisfaction as passengers experiencing environment at airports and on board the airlines, including check-in procedures before departures, on board seating comfort, cabin cleanliness, food and drinks, entertainment during flights, personnel service and travel issues.

Air Malta said it is launching a number of initiatives aimed at placing the client in the centre of the organisation, will focus more on the improvement of client’s experience and that it matters more.
