Air pollution can cause damage to the intelligence of human beings.
Researchers who conducted a study which has just been published have shown that the negative impact increases mostly as a person gets older and among men with a lower education.
In this study between the US and China, 20,000 people were analyzed in China about their verbal and mathematical skills.
The study claims that the more one is exposed to air pollution, the more one has the risk of reducing one’s level of education and intelligence.
Described as a ‘silent killer’ according to WHO, air pollution has caused the death of 7 million people.
They also found that air pollution causes a variety of diseases and illness including dementia and depression.
