Alcohol, cigars, tobacco confiscated by Customs being offered for sale – interested?

The Customs Department is selling by tender a quantity of alcoholic drinks, beer, wine, cigars and tobacco for hand-rolling.

These products were confiscated in recent months, and are being divided into 85 lots. The alcohol includes whisky, brandy, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, port, sherry, aperitifs and liqueurs.

The sale by tender will take place on Friday 29 March at 12 noon.

Anyone interested in viewing the lots of items being offered for sale can do so between Monday 25 and the date of sale, Friday 29 at noon. The items can be viewed at the Newport Bonded Stores in Marsa.

Additional details about the size of each lot are available on the tender form, which can be obtained from the Newport Bonded Stores.

Viewing hours are between 8.00 a.m. and 12 noon, and again between 12.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m.
