Alitalia air hostesses take off uniforms in public as a form of protest

A group of air hostesses, former employees of the Italian national airline, took off their uniforms in public as a protest in Rome against conditions they have been offered.

Alitalia went into dissolution, and instead, the country’s national airline will now be called ITA (Italia Trasporto Aereo) Airways.

After shedding their uniforms and remaining in their underwear, the air hostesses gathered together in the square shouted the phrase ‘Noi Siamo Alitalia’ (We are Alitalia).

They stated they were protesting because their ex-colleagues had been forced to sign a humiliating agreement.

The air hostesses also left their footwear in the square as a form of protest against the Italian Government.
