The Valletta Cultural Agency has just launched a varied programme, which while addressing the needs of the capital city can create a creative space for various artists in our country.
Annaliza Borg, the executive official at the Agency explained that the programme they have put together focuses on the first quarter of this year. This type of programme has been published so that the pandemic situation can be continuously evaluated along with the instructions indicated by the health authorities, before a project or event is implemented. She added that although it is important for guidelines issued by the health authorities to be observed, artists who work in this field still need to keep working. She explained that the Agency has created a series of medium sized and even intimate activities which can only be attended by small audiences, so that social distance can be respected. The public’s response was very good.
“Art and culture have become a need more than ever before because they leave a positive impact on a person’s wellbeing,” she pointed out.
