Two elderly love birds continue to meet on the frontier

An elderly couple who happen to live in two different countries, even though neighbouring countries, has been separated by the coronavirus.

Inga Rasmussen who is 85 lives in Denmark but 89-year-old Karsten Tüchsen Hansen lives in Germany.

The frontier between the two countries has been closed to prevent the pandemic spread but this has failed to prevent them seeing each other – even though from a distance.

The couple are meeting daily from each side of the border, seated and facing each other and while having a meal they continue chatting, with the frontier keeping them safely apart.

The two love birds became famous after the Mayor of Tondor came across them while visiting their area to attend an appointment.
