The most popular drink in the world is water. This is followed by soft drinks – mainly Coca Cola, and coffee. Before we continue to scroll down the list of the top beverages, let’s take a took at why people have a preference for water.
Water is the base for nearly every other drink. And no other drink can compete with a fresh, pure drink of water. Particularly on a hot day, when one wants to cool down and opts for a refreshing drink or some ice cubes. ironically, fizzy water classified in thirtieth placing.
Coca Cola is the most popular beverage, having been invented by a chemist in 1886 as a headache remedy. This drink is so popular that the company producing it has created different tastes, inclujding cherry, lemon and, of course, Zero and Diet.
Coffee was discovered in Ethiopia, and is one of the world’s most commercial products. Coffee is also on offer in different forms – with milk, capuccino, mocha, Americano and many others. Whatever, many persons refuse to start their day without a coffee kick.
The fourth most popular drink is beer, followed by tea. Orange juice places seventh on the list, followed by red wine. And white wine is in 18th placing.
To stick to alcohol, gin & tonic is in ninth placing, and Sangria is in eleventh placing. Champagne is further down at 34th placing, and whisky is even further down, at 39th placing.
And milk, a very common product and in use from childhood to old age in various forms, classifies in 23rd placing, although it is drunk by millions for breakfast with cereals, or during the day with tea or coffee.
