LESA, the Local Enforcement Agency, has just completed the installation of two speed cameras in black spots on the Coast Road.
The cameras have been installed following studies and the obtaining of the necessary approval on recommendations made in the wake of a magisterial inquiry.
LESA stated that the speed cameras are an investment in drivers’ safety and will help to avoid accidents that have even resulted in facilities in the past.
These speed cameras are activated on the basis of a warning, meaning that persons receiving a summons between 14 and 23 May will only be given a warning that they have exceeded the permitted speed limit.
LESA pointed that effective summonses will start being issued from 24 May.
