Temperatures on Sunday were on the high side, and as not everyone enjoys sunbathing, many try to find some corner in the shade.
Several persons who made for St Peter’s Pool in Delimara over the weekend did just that. Unfortunately, the place they chose to shelter from the hot sun was not exactly suitable.
As in other bays where the rock face is deteriorating, a number of warning notices have been put up at St Peter’s Pool, and barriers have even been placed to prevent anyone from going underneath the rock face.
This, however, did not seem to deter those persons who were determined to avoid the sun at all costs, and who got in through a gap between the barrier and the rock face to get to a shady part.
The barrier on the other side of the bay has even been vandalised to allow persons to go beneath the rock areas, which include a sizeable piece of rock with a fissure in it and in imminent danger of falling down.
