Elderly man grievously injured in Sliema incident

A 76-year-old man resident in Qala in Gozo has been hospitalised at Mater Dei after being involved in an incident in Sliema when at about 12 noon Police were informed their assistance was needed in Sliema’s Triq Nazzarenu.

District Police went on the spot and from preliminary investigations it resulted the man was driving a Hyundai vehicle and had crashed into a wall.

The man was conveyed to Mater Dei in an ambulance and was later certified to be suffering from grievous injuries. Police investigations are ongoing.
