Appointment of first woman as CEO of Court Services Agency

The Ministry of Justice, Equality and Governance has announced that Mrs Eunice Grech Fiorini has been appointed CEO of the Court Services Agency with effect from 1 May.

The Ministry said that Grech Fiorini will continue working on the work carried out by her predecessor Mr Frank Mercieca, who served in various roles at the Courts of Justice over the last 45 years.

Grech Fiorini has served as a director, assistant registrar, principal and clerk at the Courts for the last 23 years. She served as assistant registrar between 2014 and 2018 and director/registrar from 2018 to date. She gradated with a BA in Legal Studies and become a Legal Procurator in 2009.

Mr Mercieca will be appointed consultant to the Court Services Agency for a period of time so that his experience can continue to be used in the judicial sector.

Minister Zammit Lewis thanked Mr Mercieca for his impeccable service in this sector.

He congratulated Mrs Grech Fiorini for being appointed to her new post and for being the first woman who will be leading this agency.
