WATCH: Full moon lights up Greek castle

Although the moon is not a direct source of light because it reflects the sun’s rays, the full moon on 15th August lit up the famous Greek Koroni Castle. As it was rising the moon not only lit up the sea surface beneath but also the mediaeval fortifications of the castle.

The city around the Koroni Castle was built by the Venetians in the 13th Century on the site of an ancient acropolis and a Byzantine fort in the south of Greece.
