WATCH: Who will succeed in Golden Globes this year?

In a few hours the winners of the 76th edition of the Golden Globes Awards will be announced during a ceremony in which films and television productions that proved outstanding over the last 12 months will be awarded.

Organised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, this year’s Golden Globes edition will be presented by the Canadian actress Sandra Oh and the American comic actor Andy Samberg in a ceremony at Beverly Hills, California.

Nominations for the Best Film category are: “A Star is Born”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “If Beale Street Could Talk”, “Black Panther” and “BlacKkKlansman” while nominations for the best comedy or musical include “Mary Poppins Returns”, “Crazy Rich Asians”, “The Favourite”, “Green Book” and “Vice”.

The winner of various Oscars, Jeff Bridges will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for his various parts in a number of films including the Western, “True Grit” and the comedy film “The Big Lebowski.”

Throughout his career the 69-year-old actor has been nominated for five Golden Globes, receiving an award for his interpretation in the 2009 drama ‘Crazy Heart’ which also won him an Oscar. Actors who have won this prestigious award include Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Audrey Hepburn, Harrison Ford, and Meryl Streep.
