Arnold Schwarzenegger assaulted during meeting with fans in South Africa

A video uploaded on the internet shows Arnold Schwarzenegger being assaulted from behind by a person during an event in South Africa.

The 71-year old actor, bodybuilder and politician was meeting fans on Saturday during a jumping competition. At one point, a man drop-kicked him from behind. Schwarzenegger is seen in the video moving forward and wrote on Twitter that he wasn’t aware he was assaulted and only realized this when he watched the video.

The actor’s bodyguards immediately intervened and the man was later on arrested.

Schwarzenegger, while thanking his fans on Twitter, said they need not worry. He appealed to the public to focus instead on the athletes.
