More supplies sent from Malta have just arrived in Perù, having been sent to this South American country by the Missionary Society of St Paul.
In a post on Facebook, Bishop Giovanni Cefai welcomed what he described as “the second wave, not of Covid-19, but of providence and love from Malta to Perù.”
Items which Bishop Cefai was able to purchase through the assistance of the Maltese for the 21 parishes in the prelature of St James the Apostle in Perù include rice, sugar, pasta, oil, soap and detergents.
On behalf of the priests and the poor families of the prelature, Bishop Cefai thanked the Maltese and Gozitans for their generosity.
