As from today, vaccinated travellers coming from Amber list can go to UK without needing to quarantine
Fully vaccinated people from the US or EU countries will no longer be required to quarantine when they enter the UK, if they are coming from an Amber list country.
The change came into effect last night.
The British Government said that this change, which was announced last week, will help families and friends who live abroad to re-unite with their loved ones.
The airlines have also welcomed this change, however they have appealed for more countries to be placed on the UK’s Green list. Those who travel will still need to do a swab test before their trip and another one, taken two days after their arrival in the UK.
