Attempted theft from car in Ħal Qormi lands accused with probation order

Eman Ebejer, 34, was given a probation order after admitting to attempted theft from a vehicle in Qormi.

He was charged in Court on Monday morning before Magistrate Gabriella Vella and was accused of theft, of being a recidivist and of being in possession suspicious objects without providing a valid explanation.

Inspector Roderick Agius who led the prosecution said that at about 8pm last Saturday, the police were informed that a Corradino Correctional Facility officer was detaining a man who had entered the car of his neighbor. In fact, the man did not manage to steal anything.

Ebejer pleaded guilty to the charges and was placed under a court probation order for three years.
