Balzan local council has appealed for infrastructural works to be completed within a short time

Balzan local council has appealed for ongoing infrastructural works to continue and be completed within the shortest time possible.

In a statement, the council said that it is positive that the wishes of the Balzan residents for Wied Ħal-Balzan to be renovated have been met by the central Government which has finally paid attention to their appeal and began working to fix this road.

The Council added that it understands that for work to be carried out there is a period of inconvenience for residents. It said that it understands that the work should not be rushed but needs to be done carefully and properly.

While it said that this was not a partisan issue and it does not want it to end up as a political football, the Council is concerned that after more than one year, this project is still in its early stages and is still causing inconvenience to residents in the area with dust and open drainage pipes in front of their homes. The local council therefore appealed for the project to be given the necessary attention.
