Beijing imposes restrictions once again because of an increase in new cases of Covid-19

Millions of people in Beijing, China are once again living under restrictions after there was a substantial increase in the number of  Coronavirus cases.

The city reported 31 new cases bringing the total number to 137 new cases over this last week.

Before the drastic increase in cases the Chinese capital had not had any local transmissions of the virus for the last 57 days.

The last wave of cases probably originated from the Xinfandi market which supplies 80% of the meat and vegetables in the city.

Hundreds in quarantine in Berlin because of new outbreak of Covid-19 cases

Meanwhile, the authorities in Berlin, Germany have also placed 369 families under quarantine after tens of them tested positive for Covid-19.

The cases broke out in Neukölln where there are six blocks of apartments where 57 people who live there have tested positive for the virus.
