Boko Haram use donkey loaded with explosives to attack Borno governor
Boko Haram militants, who form part of the Islamic State, loaded a donkey as a bait to attack Borno governor, Babagana Zulum.

The attack occurred on Sunday when soldiers accompanying governor Zulum, who was on his way back to capital Maiduguri from Baga, noticed a loaded donkey on the road.

The animal raised suspicion among the soldiers who fired on the donkey. The shooting set off the explosives with the militants emerging to fire at the delegation.

A number of militants were killed in the shooting, however none of the delegation, including the governor, died.

It was the second attack in three days after 18 persons died, including police officers, near the Chad river.
