British fans cannot watch England play in Rome because of quarantine rules

The English Football Federation said that it cannot sell tickets to British fans in the UK who wished to watch the Euro 2020 England game in Rome on Saturday, since the Italian Government is asking UK citizens to quarantine for five days.

The only tickets which will be available to British fans will be sold from the British embassy in Rome and can only be bought from those fans who live in Italy.

While England’s next match in the European Champions will be played in front of 18,000 people, the English Football Federation will only be allocated 2000 tickets. In Italy it is estimated that there are around 30,000 UK citizens.

Yesterday, England passed through to the quarter finals of the Euro 2020 after it beat Germany 2-0 at Wembley stadium. This means that on Saturday, England will be playing against Ukraine at 9pm.
