British PM postpones easing of restrictions till the middle of August

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has postponed plans to ease restrictions against Covid-19 with at least fifteen days, while police will enforce stricter laws on masks wearing.

Masks are obligatory in most enclosed public places such as museums, cinemas and worship places.

Places which will wait till the 15th August to reopen with precautionary measures include indoor theatres and entertainment places. The measures will also apply to sport fans to watch football matches.

Meanwhile, Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon warned against non-essential travel to the northern part of England where coronavirus cases are on the increase. Sturgeon said that persons returning to Scotland from this part of England should minimize contacts with persons outside their family for 14 days.
