Brothers last selfie before Bergamo tragedy

The Muhammad brothers went for a swim at the Iseo river in Bergamo when suddenly two of them disappeared underwater.

Hassan and Waqas Muhammad died after they drowned in the river. Although the brothers couldn’t swim, they were not in any danger as they swam in shallow water. However, tragedy struck when one of them slipped and ended up in deeper waters with one of his brothers trying to save him.

The 16 and 17-year old Pakistani brothers were brought out of the river unconscious. They were still holding their hands.

Their other brother, Awais Muhammad, was rescued after being assisted by a person who noticed that he was in danger.

Hassan and Waqas both died in hospital.
