Aġenzija Żgħażagħ has launched the campaign entitled ‘Anxiety is this you? TRUST YOURSELF TO TALK’, which is targeting youths on World Mental Health Day. The campaign aims to strengthen awareness about mental health, so that youths will be able to speak out and come forward with mental health problems, thus ending the stigma aand discrimination surrounding this issue.
During the launch, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Sport and the Voluntary Sector Clifton Grima said this year’s World Mental Health Day comes at a time when daily life has undegone considerable changes. Grima stressed that youths worldwide are exposed to risks of illness linked with mental health, and it is essential that as a country, we ensure enough awareness on this issue.
The Parliamentary Secretary also emphasised the importance of these types of campaigns to enable youths to become more aware of the challenges of daily life.
This campaign will be promoted through social media, television and also billboards.
