Charged with stabbing cousin with penknife during argument on rent

A 58-year-old man has been charged with hitting his cousin with a penknife in the course of an argument on rent.

The incident occurred late in the afternoon of two days ago in Sqaq Warda, Ħal Għargħur.The victim, who is aged 74 years, was admitted to hospital and placed on the danger list, but has since taken a turn for the better.

The Court, Magistrate Audrey Demicoli presiding, turned down a request for bail, and accused Raymond Debono has been detained under arrest.
