Children below the age of three should not wear masks

Fielding questions from journalists during a news bulletin, when asked whether babies should wear masks, Prof Gauci said children under 3 should not wear masks as these could be dangerous for them.

Some operators are advertising masks for young children and babies.

Similarly, people with certain disabilities are also exempted from wearing masks.

Regarding the wearing of visors, Prof Gauci clarified that the legal notice has been amended, and visors can be worn instead of masks, as evidence shows that these are also effective.
