China warns Canada of serious consequences if Meng Wanzhou is not released

China has warned Canada with serious consequences if it does not release Huawei’s Financial Controller.

Meng Wanzhou, who is also the deputy chairperson of the company, was arrested on the 1st December in Vancouver on suspicion of hiding connections that Huawei had with a company which attempted to sell equipment to Iran despite American sanctions against Iran.
