Chris Brown released from arrest on alleged rape charges

American singer Chris Brown has been released from arrest after he was held on rape charges.

He was arrested in Paris after a 24-year-old woman alleged that the singer had raped her.

Two other men were also arrested together with Chris Brown in connection with the alleged rape. These two men, who are a friend and bodyguard of the singer respectively, were also released.

The alleged rape is said to have taken place on 16 January inside a hotel.

On his part, Chris Brown has repeatedly denied these allegations. After he was released, Brown went on social media and reiterated that these charges were false.

This is not the first time that Chris Brown has had a brush with the law. In 2009 he was arraigned in Court after beating his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. He was found guilty of the charges and was given five years probation and community work.
